Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and financial accuracy? Carenet Health is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our team at our San Antonio location.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, contributing to the maintenance of accurate financial records, month-end close processes, and various financial reporting activities.
Position Summary : The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, assisting in month-end close processes, and supporting various financial reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, verify, and update various ledgers, spreadsheets, and databases
- Perform GL account reconciliations
- Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
- Fixed Assets recording, tracking, depreciation, and disposal
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Assist with special accounting projects
- Prepare analysis and summaries of accounts as requested
- Contribute to achieving administration team goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and / or 1-2 related experiences in accounting
- Previous experience with Quickbooks is preferred.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
