Overview Associate Design Director , VML LLC , New York, NY. Design and craft identity projects, such as logos, brands, visual languages, and full brand identity systems with exploration and imagination. Set and design the experience vision of clients. Tackle production of design across print and digital media. Create elevated design solutions and holistic design system development. Lead the design of communication experience in addition to the systems, products, services, and interfaces. Contribute to projects from breakthrough conceptual generation to flawless delivery. Seek opportunities to lead projects and direct junior designers. Present work to clients and design leadership with confidence. Communicate across teams regarding campaign, account, strategy, operations, and verbal design. Work with flexibility between client, internal, and new business projects. Track industry and cultural trends and adapt process and direction accordingly. Recommend improvements to the overall brand ID & Design Studio experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of communication experiences in addition to systems, products, services, and interfaces.

Contribute to projects from breakthrough conceptual generation to flawless delivery.

Communicate across teams regarding campaign, account, strategy, operations, and verbal design.

Work with flexibility between client, internal, and new business projects.

Track industry and cultural trends and adapt process and direction accordingly.

Recommend improvements to the overall brand ID & Design Studio experience.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Experience Design, or a related field, and four (4) years of related work experience.

Four (4) years of experience with :

• Brand identity design, visual language systems, and communication design;
• Adobe Creative Cloud design software and associated workflows;
• Creative AI tools such as Midjourney and motion design tools such as After Effects;
• Applying web and mobile advertising techniques to create related design systems and products to extend the brand experience across web and mobile landscapes;

Conducting research on competitors’ landscape, MarComm materials, and brand design elements; and

UX / UI, service design, and tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.

Up to 4% domestic travel required. 20% Telecommuting permitted.
