These challenges and opportunities require a strong leadership team. Ideal candidates for the three leadership roles will be innovative change agents who can create and execute effectively on high impact strategies. They will understand (or can learn) regulations and compliance but will also be nimble and persistent at cutting through red tape to drive meaningful improvements for the people we serve.
All roles are hybrid, with most work performed on-site in Allegheny County, where the management team is required to reside.
Director, Office of Behavioral Health, a leader who works with our communities, partners and 200+ provider agencies to articulate an ambitious vision for a well-organized system of care in Allegheny County and then sets the goals, establishes the structure, and supports the providers and teams who deliver accessible, high quality care to vulnerable people. This position reports to the Director of the Department of Human Services (DHS) and oversees 4 direct- and 120 indirect report staff. The salary range for this position is $159,000-$175,000.
Director, Substance Use Services, a leader who is on the forefront of understanding the changing landscape of substance use and capable of translating that knowledge into investments in prevention, treatment and recovery support for people living with substance use and co-occurring disorders. This leader will work with community members, service providers and state and federal partners to set a vision for investing over $100 million to reduce overdose and other premature deaths and increase recovery for 12,000 people in Allegheny County annually. This position reports to the Director of the Office of Behavioral Health and oversees four direct and eleven indirect report staff. The salary range for this position is $110,594-121,653.
Senior Manager, Managed Care Oversight, a leader who is (or is ready to become) an expert in Behavioral Health Managed Care regulations, finances, and innovations, with the explicit purpose of maximizing benefits for Allegheny County Behavioral Health Medicaid members (HealthChoices members). This leader will work with partners at DHS, Community Care Behavioral Health, the State and actuarial consultants to ensure that we run a Medicaid program with proper rate setting, optimized provider network, and full use of client and financial analytics to drive investments. This leader will be at the table to drive service, practice, and policy reform to achieve a world-class Medicaid program. This position reports to the Analytics, Technology, and Planning Director, works closely with the Director of the Office of Behavioral Health, and oversees a team of six with the potential for more roles over time. The salary range for this position is $143,728-$158,100.
