This position is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the SOC, including log monitoring, incident analysis, and threat hunting. Students will gain hands-on experience with SOC tools, procedures, and industry best practices while helping protect critical energy and infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system logs and alerts to identify potential threats
• Assist in triage and escalation of incidents
• Support SOC analysts with threat intelligence research and documentation
• Maintain SOC playbooks, procedures, and incident records
• Provide technical support during live incident response activities
• Contribute to after-action reports, briefings, and training sessions
