CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is $20 / hr to $26.50 / hr. Job Description

As an Initiator Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling small electro-explosive units with several detailed parts, following standardized methods. You will follow detailed procedures for NASA, SpaceX, and other aerospace industry leaders, and assemble hardware from scratch using parts list, custom tooling, and pneumatic press crimping.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications include the ability to function effectively in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment, excellent fine motor-skills to work with very small devices and tools, and attention to details when measuring and loading energetic materials. You must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.

Physical And Other Requirements

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally and / or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting much of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
