QA Automation Engineer

Job Title:QA Automation Engineer Location: Fremont,California

Duration: 12+ Months

Key requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience
• Very strong Selenium + Python
• Mobile automation experience
• Must be able to develop automation test scripts from scratch
• 80% automation / 20% manual testing
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end testing process
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver + Python
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive, hands-on "get it done" attitude

1. Selenium + Python: Must-have; look for strong hands-on development.
2. Framework development: Candidate should have built/created test scripts and automation frameworks, not just executed existing scripts.
3. Mobile automation: Look for mobile app testing/automation experience. Since the manager specifically confirmed Selenium WebDriver/Python, clarify whether they expect a separate mobile framework/tool.
4. Automation-heavy: Ideally candidates should spend most of their recent experience in automation rather than manual QA.
5. Testing fundamentals: Test planning, test cases, regression, integration, defect tracking, debugging, etc.
6. Communication/ownership: Look for candidates who demonstrate independent ownership and troubleshooting
