Job Summary
The Diabetes Education Program Manager will recruit participants, schedule regular education sessions, instruct the education sessions, and provide encouragement and support to participants.

Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to :
- Plan, manage and oversee the implementation of diabetes education initiatives.
- Oversee the daily operations of the programs.
- Schedule and plan onsite, virtual and offsite educational sessions.
- Collect, organize, and analyze participant data.
- Evaluate outcome data as to effectiveness of the programs.
- Recruit participants for all programs through internal and external marketing as well as community outreach.
- Support strategic activities that include development and tracking of program strategy, goals and milestones.
- Develop program budget and manage program expenditures.
- All other related assigned duties.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of experience in Project Management Healthcare
OR +7 years of experience, if no degree
2 years of experience in Program Management, preferably in healthcare

Skills and Abilities
- Certified Lifestyle Coaching experience is a plus
- Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to leadership.
- Ability to implement a decision-making process using interpersonal / social skills to gain cooperation of other team member, internal, and external stakeholders, with minimal supervision
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
The person in this role will manage daily interaction with multiple regional partners, internal staff, and vendors.
Physical Capabilities
Work is of high demand; sitting most of the time with frequent walking. Hearing acuity, clear speech patterns and interpersonal skills are required.
Visual acuity necessary for typing and reading. Hours of duty are 8 : 00 - 5 : 00 , Monday through Friday, although hours may be irregular depending on workload.
Environmental / Working Conditions
This job is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions, not necessarily from temperature changes.
