Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients at a Level III high-risk facility
- Float to the High-Risk OB (HROB) unit as needed, which includes 16 rooms caring for early inductions, antepartum patients, and patients on continuous monitoring
- May be assigned to float to nearby lower-volume hospitals within scope of practice based on staffing needs
- Must pass the Dysrhythmia exam during orientation; only two attempts are permitted and the exam must be completed on a PC (not an iOS device)
- Complete all required orientation modules, which are billable and tracked via transcripts
- Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing and be clean shaven prior to fit testing before working on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license (or Compact license); must be in hand at time of submission - pending licenses are not accepted
- Nursys verification dated within 2 weeks of submission reflecting an active New Jersey or Compact license
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP - all must be active and in hand at submission; certifications expiring within 30 days of assignment start are not accepted
- Minimum of 2.5-3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months
- Willingness to float to the High-Risk OB unit and, if needed, to designated nearby facilities within scope of practice
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the primary facility are subject to the local rate and are not eligible for travel compensation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records charting
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
