Job Summary

  • Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, secures and manages current inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment at all district locations;
  • receives, inspects, catalogs, stores, retrieves and distributes supplies, materials and equipment purchased by the District;

controls stock rotation to prevent deterioration and ensures maximum use of inventory; initiates timely action to retire and surplus obsolete equipment.

Salary : Range CL-29 $4,032 - $5,042 Monthly

Initial Salary Placement : New employees start at Step A ($4,032) or B ($4,263) on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination equivalent to :

Graduation from high school supplemented by specialized course work in inventory control, or a related field.

Two years of experience in warehouse activities including extensive experience working with computerized equipment, inventory or accounting systems.

VETERAN'S POINTS :

Veterans not previously employed by the District, with 30 days or more of service who become eligible for appointment by attaining the passing mark established for the examination, shall be allowed an additional credit of five (5) points and disabled veterans shall be allowed an additional credit of ten (10) points, which shall be added to the percentages attained in the examinations by the veterans.

Any applicant who claims veteran's credit must submit Form DD 214 a t the time the employment application is submitted. Failure to submit Form DD 214 at the time of application shall result in no veteran's credits being considered or added to any passing score.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

The assessment process for this position may include any combination of the following : application screening for initial qualifications, supplemental training and experience screening, documentation(s) / certification(s) screening, written examination, performance examination, and / or oral examination .

If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days ( 3 months) to test again for the same classification during a posted recruitment.

ASSESSMENT DATES

Oral Panel Interview : June 24 - 26, 2024
