Construction Surveillance Technician I
Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented, and talented individual for the position of Construction Surveillance Technician I. The Construction Surveillance Technician I's primary function is to provide "day-to-day" support for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program Facility (SAP) construction efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Assess, identify, and communicate recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Draft security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and / or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of security spaces.
- Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and oversight of team members.
Requirement :
One (1) to Two (2) years related experience.Bachelors Degree in a related area or equivalent (4 years) experience.Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.Security Requirements :
Interim Secret Clearance.Eligibility for access to Special Access Programs.Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.Skills :
Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).Must be familiar with security policy / manuals and the appropriate DCIDs / JAFANs and other guiding policy documents.Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military / civilian personnel and industry partners.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision.Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation).Physical Requirements :
This position requires employees to be willing and able to : sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk. Communication : Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
