Environmental Manager
Chalk Point Generation Station, located in Aquasco, Maryland, is a significant contributor to the region's power supply, with a total generating capacity of approximately 1,618 megawatts. The station features a diverse configuration that includes seven gas turbines and two steam turbines across nine units. This setup provides operational flexibility and reliability, allowing the facility to efficiently respond to changing energy demands throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Environmental Manager plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with Title-V permitting requirements by preparing and submitting applications and emissions reports while coordinating with regulatory agencies such as MDE, PSC, and the EPA. This position also provides direction to O&M personnel on NERC compliance, manages environmental and safety records, and oversees training related to safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, the Environmental Manager supports plant emergency response initiatives, waste minimization, and pollution prevention programs to enhance overall operational compliance and safety.
Primary functions include ensuring compliance with Title-V permitting requirements and completing all related reporting in accordance with laws, regulations, and standards. Compile and submit accurate and timely Title-V emissions reports, ensuring all data is properly documented and meets regulatory standards. Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as MDE, PSC, and the EPA, providing safety and environmental direction to O&M personnel while participating in emergency response and pollution prevention programs.

Report to the Plant Manager and coordinate work activity with the Plant Engineer, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Administrative Supervisor. Interface with contractor and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) personnel for the necessary support and coordination.
The regular work schedule follows a Monday through Friday workweek during standard day shift hours. This position will occasionally necessitate extended working hours and flexible shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, in response to schedules, workload demands, and plant conditions. Periodic callouts or "On call" status may also be required. Some travel may be involved to participate in Manager, Owner, User Group, or other offsite meetings.
Initial starting compensation will range from $122,000 to $148,000 and will include an annual performance bonus.
