Processing Supervisor – Austin, IN

Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8 : 30 PM – 5 : 30 AM

Salary : $64,000–$75,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Summary :

The Processing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the assigned production area. This includes setting clear goals for team members, maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The supervisor will coordinate staffing, scheduling, training, and communication across departments to ensure seamless operations and consistent product output.

Key Responsibilities :

Create and post daily operator schedules to ensure adequate line coverage.

Monitor employee timekeeping and attendance through ADP, including vacation requests and call-ins.

Conduct investigations and write detailed accident or incident reports.

Manage daily overtime scheduling and communicate updates to staff.

Print and distribute process records and maintain production documentation.

Collaborate with the QA department to ensure quality control and compliance.

Coordinate with the scheduler / planner on maintenance projects to minimize downtime.

Submit requests to Purchasing for tools, parts, and equipment as needed.

Supervise and coach team members, address performance issues, and support employee relations.

Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, SQF, and other food safety standards.

Identify, report, and correct issues related to non-conformance or process deviations.

Support Processing Managers with audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Verify operator checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production logs daily.

Qualifications & Skills :

Required :

At least 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing or food production environment.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred :

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Familiarity with SQF, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
