Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll processing and related administrative functions. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with processing weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll
Enter and verify employee time, hours worked, and payroll data
Review timesheets for accuracy and missing information
Process payroll changes, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments
Maintain accurate employee payroll records
Assist with new hire payroll setup and employee updates
Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, and payroll information
Prepare payroll reports as needed
Assist with payroll reconciliations and record keeping
Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
Coordinate with supervisors and managers to resolve payroll discrepancies
Support accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
Previous payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working with numbers and data entry
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to meet payroll deadlines
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with payroll or HR software is a plus

Requirements
High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or related accounting experience. Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Previous experience with credit and collections. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple customer accounts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience using accounting or ERP software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or a similar system is a plus. Professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented approach.
