Responsibilities
The MEP Project Manager will oversee all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction activities for one of our large-scale, fast-track projects, with a primary emphasis on electrical systems that are critical to project delivery. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, budgets, and client / consultant relationships, ensuring quality execution, adherence to schedule, and a safe work environment.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all MEP project activities from preconstruction through closeout, with a particular focus on electrical scope, including subcontractor procurement, scope definition, and schedule development.
- Oversee project budget, monitor cost controls, review and approve invoices, and manage material / equipment procurement and deliveries for electrical and related MEP trades.
- Evaluate MEP change orders and estimates, with deep involvement in electrical systems, and maintain accurate logs.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and clients; serve as primary liaison with inspectors, utilities, and local authorities on MEP matters.
- Review construction documents and shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability; lead coordination with design teams and other trades, especially electrical interfaces.
- Drive the permitting process in collaboration with expeditors and agencies (DOB, utilities, MTA, etc.).
- Proactively manage risk, quality control, and safety compliance across MEP scopes.
- Provide leadership to the field team and ensure alignment between project stakeholders and site operations.
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience in electrical construction management, with exposure to mechanical and plumbing systems; proven success managing large-scale, $5M+ projects.Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (power distribution, emergency / standby power, switchgear, UPS, generators, low voltage, lighting, fire alarm, and related systems), with ability to coordinate across full MEP scope.Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.OSHA 30 and Procore experience required.Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage subcontractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong client-facing presence.A highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are deliberate about the team and culture we are building.
