What You'll Do:
The Day Center Lead serves as a key leadership and supervisory role within the PACE center, overseeing the daily operations and activities conducted by Day Center Technicians. This position is responsible for mentoring, training, and supervising Day Center Technician I and II staff, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to center protocols. The Day Center Lead works closely with the Center Operations Manager and interdisciplinary team to enhance participant satisfaction and care quality.
- Leadership and Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of Day Center Technicians and provide mentoring and coaching to technicians to foster professional growth and high-quality participant care.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and conduct training sessions and in-service education for technicians. Ensure staff compliance with certification requirements and ongoing professional development.
- Participant Care: Oversee and assist with the delivery of personal care services, activities, and meal service, ensuring adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided by technicians. Implement quality improvement initiatives based on participant feedback and care outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Lead and manage responses to unexpected crises or emergencies within the day center, ensuring participant safety and compliance with emergency protocols.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a liaison between day center staff and the interdisciplinary team, facilitating communication and collaborative care planning.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and activities. Monitor compliance with PACE regulations and center policies.
- Facility Management: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Oversee the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Ability to perform participant transfers and assist with mobility as needed.
- Work with a diverse participant population, including individuals with cognitive and physical impairments.
- Frequent communication with staff, participants, caregivers, and family members.
- Preparation for and management of unexpected crisis situations.

What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant License strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum three years of experience working with older adults in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of PACE program operations and regulations is a plus.
- Serve Safe Handler certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
