Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Trainer to join our People and Culture team. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management and Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs. Core focus areas include Yellow, Green, and Black Belt certifications, delivering rapid kaizen workshops, and applying statistical models to enhance process improvement initiatives. This role will also support delivery of change management training, and other core courses that support CCC’s learning and development initiatives. The Senior Training Specialist will play a pivotal role in equipping our workforce with the knowledge and tools necessary to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement and enhance our learning culture.
Job Duties
- Develop and execute training strategies that align with organizational objectives and contribute to the adoption of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
- Will work directly with the head of Business Transformation and functional Black Belt leaders to orchestrate, design, and deliver engaging and impactful training materials for Yellow, Green, and Black Belt certification programs, catering to various learning styles and experience levels.
- Lead rapid kaizen workshops to drive immediate process improvements, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement.
- Create case studies and simulations to reinforce learning concepts. Use CCC data to develop basic statistical examples, T and F tests, Contingency testing, General Linear Modelling, ANOVA and Regression modelling.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Lean Six Sigma practitioners at different belt levels, guiding them through real-world project implementations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools related to learning and development and Lean Six Sigma, integrating relevant advancements into training materials.
- Support the delivery and enhancement of CCC’s change management model and tools.
- Utilize adult learning principles and innovative instructional techniques to enhance training effectiveness and knowledge retention.
- Develop comprehensive training resources, including presentation decks, case studies, exercises, and assessment tools, to support the learning journey.
- Implement evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact of training programs, gather feedback, and continuously improve the quality of training content and delivery.
- As part of the broader Learning and Development team, support other organizational training initiatives such as annual compliance and development and delivery of other professional development courses.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred. Related equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- 5 years of direct experience in a process improvement role, engaged in facilitating teams and providing project analysis.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple learning initiatives effectively.
- Black Belt certification.
- Experience leading and creating high-performing teams and championing change.
- Experience using MS Office, QI Macro’s & Minitab software for statistical and graphical analysis.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping and related software is preferred
- Willing to travel (15%)
