Technical Project Manager / Scrum Lead - SAP

12+ month Contract

The Scrum Lead / Project Manager will be an integral part of the Business Operations Program Management team. They will work with Product and various Engineering teams to facilitate and support agile ceremonies and coach scrum teams on agile best practices and principles to enable the delivery of high value product increments to our users.

Successful candidates must be highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to autonomously work on concurrent implementations across matrixed teams.

They must be capable of clearly communicating schedules, risks, issues, and processes to a variety of business, creative, and technical audiences.

They must be able to partner with other project managers and technical leads outside their area to coordinate work, deliverables, and schedules.

What You’ll Do :

You’ll work with matrix teams of internal and external resources to lead all scrum events : daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, backlog refinements and demos.

The role will be leading 1-2 scrum teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support scrum teams using a servant-leadership style, facilitate discussions and decision making in meetings, and resolve team impediments at multiple levels of an organization.
• Guide teams to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate and coaching and development techniques.

Adept at refinement, retrospection, estimation, capacity, velocity and other scrum techniques.

• Coach scrum team in self-organization, cross functional skillset, and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the scrum team.
• Report on metrics that provide visibility on program progress and know how to leverage those metrics to identify program needs and insights. (ie burndown charts)
• Communicate delivery times and scope to other software engineering teams that depend on a timely delivery.
• Work closely with partners across the organization including product, solution architects, and delivery teams.
• Escalate to program leadership and / or functional managers as appropriate to drive results.
• Identify, tracks, and manage issues and risks; working with team to and following up through resolution of those items.
• Manage projects that impact the scrum team, including developing project plans and timelines for projects and project deliverables.
• Partner with program management to actively contribute to project planning and overall program strategy including resource needs identification and forecasting.

Basic Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Technical Project and / or Program Management and software application development.
• Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Lead for cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience with an agile framework or method (ie Scrum, Kanban) and / or understanding of software development lifecycle as well as project management principles and practices.
• Strong working experience using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable
• Experience supporting, managing, and delivering medium to large projects.
• Problem solving with product management and delivery teams.
• Experience working with teams on East or West Coast hours, with flexibility to work outside of regular office hours to accommodate important meetings in different time zones.
• S / 4 HANA upgrade experience
• Managing, tracking, and reporting on test cycles & outcomes; helping to ensure deadlines are met while also providing project support on the end-to-end SAP engagement across multiple organizations in a cross-matrix organization.
