  • Number of Beds - 40
  • Type of staff : Day Shift – 1 Charge Nurse / 10 staff / bedside nurses / 4 PCTs / 1 Unit Secretary Night Shift – 1 Charge Nurse / 10 staff / bedside nurses / 3 PCTs
  • Patient Ratios – 1 : 4; stretch staffing at 1 : 5 ratio
  • Type of patients : patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath / stent; post pacer / ICD / ablation.
  • Type of equipment : Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner; EMR - Cerner
  • Typical hiring profile : Must have : Stepdown or progressive care experience, Telemetry experience, Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex / L Lasix; etc.

    • Job Requirements

  • Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS
  • Preferred or nice to have : Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin). Relief charge experience

    • Schedule Information

  • Weekends and On call : Every other weekend

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit Guidelines / Policies : Will be discussed during orientation
  • Dress Code : Scrub Color / Attire - all white or all navy blue or white top and navy blue pants.
