Healing Haven is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to perform support activities for Occupational Therapists in a pediatric clinical setting. We are a state of the art behavioral health clinic for children with autism and their families. We believe in treating the family as a whole, and as such siblings and parents are often incorporated into our therapy. Our unique services include a 3-month parent training program, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and day-time center based ABA therapy services for children between the ages of 2-8. We strive to provide compassionate and creative care to meet the needs of our families.

Job responsibilities include :
Implements and executes an individualized client treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.Addresses client needs relative to daily living, motor and play skills, sensory integration, and more to promote independenceCommunicates with clients, families, referring physicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and other members of the team.Provides timely documentation per company and department requirements.Provides timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements.Attends weekly ancillary service meetings with other professionalReports any changes in client status or treatment needs to Supervising Occupational Therapist when appropriate.Meets or exceeds the productivity standards as established by Company.Uses professional judgment to ensure safety of self, clients, and other professionalsMaintains quality client care through interdisciplinary communication.Effectively communicates with Supervising Occupational Therapists concerning clients' response to treatment planAttends in-services, training sessions or other meetings relevant to efficient and effective treatment servicesCoordinates treatment goals with other team members.Maintains valid licensure, certification or equivalent as requested by appropriate state agency.Requirements :
Active Licensure and certification as required by the state of MichiganExperience with pediatric population in an OT settingKnowledge of deficits associated with autism spectrum disorderAbility to lift 30+ poundsKnowledge of sensory needs and integration into occupational therapyEvening and weekend availabilityProficiency with EMR systemKnowledge of insurance requirements for Occupational Therapy servicesAbility to stand, squat, bend, push, pull, and more physical activity as needed to provide quality client carePay range : $22-$27 per hour
