Position : CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator
The CNC Swiss Set-Up Operator is responsible for setting up and running Tsugami and Hanwha Swiss machines to produce high-precision metal components in a job shop environment. This role involves daily set-ups, meeting production targets, and maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and run Swiss Tsugami and Hanwha machines to meet production set-up and run times.
Install tooling, adjust offsets, and edit programs for efficiency.
Select and set cutting tools, fixtures, clamps, and soft jaws.
Use precision measuring equipment to ensure all parts meet tight tolerances.
Interpret engineering prints, drawings, and sketches.
Inspect and verify the quality of your own work.
Train and mentor operators on equipment and processes.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up Swiss machines.
Proficiency in setting up and programming Hanwha and Tsugami lathes.
Skilled in tooling selection, installation, and inspection.
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-changeover environment.
Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
