IT Network Implementation Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile IT professional to serve as a hands-on technical leader requiring organization, the ability to multi-task, and exceptional communication. This role blends technical networking expertise with project coordination and team management. The ideal candidate is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to configure switches, troubleshoot network-attached devices, and oversee installation technicians while also gathering requirements and serving as the point of contact for the project team.
This role requires direct interaction with clients and third-party vendors, ensuring technical requirements are accurately captured, communicated, and executed. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a coordinator with external partners, and a liaison to the internal project team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Mentor Teams : Supervise, train, and mentor desktop and network deployment technicians across multiple implementation phases of a new medical campus build-out.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with clients, third-party vendors, and project stakeholders to gather system requirements, clarify technical needs, and ensure successful deployment outcomes.
- Configuration and Integration : Work with the Enterprise team to develop global configuration parameters and collaborate with Operational Support to perform port-level configuration of newly deployed devices.
- Deployment and Installation : Assist in developing and maintaining patch matrices to support equipment deployments and migrations and periodically perform hands-on rack-and-stack installations in MPoEs, Data Centers, and MDF / IDFs.
- Troubleshooting and Support : Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to the deployment of network-attached devices, ensuring minimal disruption during implementation.
- Network Performance and Security : Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of deployed network infrastructure, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data protection standards.
- Procurement, Receiving and Tracking : Manage the receipt, inspection, inventory, and distribution of workstation devices. Enforce processes for labeling, staging, installation, deployment, and documentation, including the use of Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel. Handle escalations and resolve discrepancies in shipping, receiving, and / or asset records.
- Quality and Control : Ensure standards are maintained on all incoming and outgoing workstation devices.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer : Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topologies, and operational procedures for use by support and operations teams.
- Onsite Leadership with Remote Flexibility : Based in Carson, California, balancing on-site client presence with occasional remote work.
What We Require
Proven experience leading or supervising small technical teams in the field.5+ years as a Cisco Routing & Switching Network Engineer, with expertise in design, deployment, and management of Cisco solutions.Strong knowledge of routing / switching hardware architecture, network topologies, and protocols (OSPF, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, TCP / IP, 802.1x, IPSec, Radius, TACACS+, etc.).Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 3K & 9K series equipment, as well as physical infrastructure (cabling, power / UPS, cooling, rack & stack).Working knowledge of Cisco Voice / VoIP and Wireless platforms.Moderate desktop support experience with the ability to oversee and coordinate multiple rollouts.Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) preferred; equivalent technical and leadership experience accepted.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain effective under frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-direct tasks, and lead teams while collaborating effectively across stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of healthcare IT systems and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems integrations.Familiarity with medical device connectivity and IoT in healthcare environments.Ability to adapt network solutions for dynamic healthcare settings.Experience interpreting construction documents, project plans, procedures, diagrams, and other technical documentation.Why Join Us?
