General Description
Responsible for customer service duties at the Fitness Center. Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Responsible for front desk management in the Fitness Center.
- Answers telephones and responds to inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Monitors utilization of the Fitness Center and checks IDs for all users of the Fitness Center.
- Utilizes computer to check class lists.
- Assists in enforcing Fitness Center policies and procedures.
- Oversees upkeep of the Fitness Center ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Fitness Center Coordinator. Education Requirements
- High School Diploma required. Experience
- Knowledge of exercise equipment mechanics and functions required. Competencies and Skills Required
- Experience in the area of customer service.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate. Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior / residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
- Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
- No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Some travel required. Salary $17 / hour
