Director Of Sales
The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability for the Fairfield Inn Windsor Locks. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, capturing business across key market segments, and ensuring the hotel meets or exceeds its sales and revenue goals.
What You'll Do :
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies for corporate, group, government, and leisure segments.
- Solicit, negotiate, and confirm business through proactive sales calls, site inspections, and networking.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, travel agencies, associations, and community organizations.
- Revenue Generation
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and the General Manager to establish competitive pricing strategies.
- Achieve or exceed room night, revenue, and market share goals.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams and partnership opportunities.
- Account & Client Management
- Manage existing accounts and develop new business to ensure repeat and referral business.
- Maintain accurate records in the property sales system (Delphi / FDC, CI / TY, or equivalent).
- Participate in brand and regional initiatives to drive Fairfield Inn visibility.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with the hotel's operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide input on marketing and promotional activities.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, community events, and brand / networking functions.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for senior leadership.
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
About You :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience; Marriott / Select Service experience strongly preferred.Proven track record of achieving sales goals and growing market share.Strong negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.Familiarity with Marriott systems and tools (e.g., MARSHA, CI / TY, FDC).Ability to work independently, with excellent time management and organizational skills.Results-driven with strong business acumen.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership with the ability to collaborate across departments.High energy, self-motivated, and customer-focused.About Us :
