Job Summary

The Application Integration Engineer IV provides technical expertise to Application Integration Technologists (Analysts and Engineers) and application teams, and leadership to deliver solutions in support of the organization's business needs.

This position has responsibility for overall Engineering’s of the Integrations platform (HL7 and API). These solutions require Unix / Linux scripting design, software development, testing, debugging, in support of defined business integration with internal systems, third parties, and State government entities.

Experience with InterSystems IRIS and KONG API management platforms would be a plus.

What you will do

Design, program, test, and implement application integration solutions that meet the business needs of the customer.

Provide and oversee unit / connectivity / stress / bulk testing of application integration solutions.

Take a leading role in Engineer support / repair of application integration solutions.

Help establish standards and processes for application integration development and maintenance; gain agreement / consensus;

document and maintain those standards.

Develop and oversee project plans for upgrades, patches and changes to the Enterprise Integration Platform software with reference to the impact on current installations and other on-going projects or implementation activities.

Establish and maintain relationships with software / tools vendors in order to receive first-hand information on upgrades, patches, or releases.

Act as a point of contact for problem resolution.

Collaborate with Architects and implement new solutions to changing business needs as required in the field of integration.

Provide job and tool specific training; mentors new team members, especially new engineers joining the team.

Stay current with healthcare technology, applications, and related integration innovations and brings new ideas for enhancing the team’s offerings for discussion and evaluation.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Prior experience working with software design, programming, implementation, and support.

Experience developing HL7 Interfaces and / or other forms of healthcare application integration.

Collaborate with others to achieve team and organizational results.

Understanding of Project Management concepts and lead projects in skill areas as required.

Solve problems by analyzing information and using logic to address issues and problems.

Knowledge of processes, hardware, and software employed to facilitate communication between people, computer systems and devices.

Qualifications

Required Bachelor's Degree

7 years Relevant work experience Required

7 year's Experience working with software design, programming, implementation, and support. Preferred

Experience developing HL7 Interfaces Preferred

other forms of healthcare application integration Preferred

3 years Experience with the InterSystems HealthShare Development Platform including HL7 and HIE development. Preferred

2 years Experience with developing Interfaces / integration solutions, and using / customizing Epic APIs for Epic Bridges, InterConnect, and Epic Applications Preferred
