Home Health Aide (HHA)

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those with varying needs, including those with developmental disabilities and memory care requirements.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.

Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and laundry.

Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.

Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.

Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Requirements

Previous experience in home health care or assisted living environments is preferred.

Strong skills in patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in health conditions.

Knowledge of medication administration protocols and familiarity with medical records management.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care challenges is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively while maintaining a hygienic environment for clients.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
