Title : Reliability Engineer

Location : TX (Multiple Locations)

Pay : $95,000 - $140,000 base, 13-15% bonus, profit sharing, health, 401k, relocation, etc.

In this role you will be part of day to day plant reliability, RCA, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. This is a team based role with team projects as well as individual project management. Equipment includes boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, generators, valves, water systems, etc. This role will also be part of outage planning and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate all thermal performance-related maintenance and repair projects, both scheduled and unscheduled, to maintain and improve plant reliability and capacity.
• Monitor and maintain the health of all thermal performance equipment and systems, recommending and implementing approved modifications to ensure budgeted capacity, availability, and reliability.
• Lead and / or participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) for thermal performance equipment, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Analyze the performance of boilers, combustion equipment, and related systems; actively work to troubleshoot and improve equipment health.
• Provide project management support during plant outages, including developing scopes of work, budgets, and contractor oversight.
• Train Maintenance and Plant Operations staff in safe, reliable, and efficient methods of system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain inspection, testing, and history records for all thermal performance systems and provide technical expertise for improvement projects.
• Drive elimination of repetitive failures and ensure continuous improvement of thermal performance across the facility.
• Apply engineering and predictive maintenance techniques to address performance issues that cause excessive production loss or maintenance costs.
• Serve as Project Engineer on other mechanical engineering projects (e.g., boilers, fuel system distribution, air heaters) as needed.
