Job Description Job Description Established company in Rancho Cordova is hiring a Project Engineer (I or II) to support capital construction projects for water utility infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This is a full time position with excellent salary and benefits package. What You’ll Do : Oversee or support delivery of multiple capital projects from planning through construction. Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and public agencies to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor schedules, budgets, and quality control; recommend or implement corrective actions as needed. Represent company in communications with cities, counties, and utilities. Prepare progress reports and maintain project documentation. Qualifications : Project Engineer I Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Project management software knowledge . Project Engineer II Same education as above 2 years of public works or utility construction management experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification strongly . Proven ability to manage projects independently and mentor junior staff.
