Become part of an amazing Risk &Compliance team at Snap! We’re seeking a compliance professional with deep compliance experience in Third Party Oversight, merchant oversight.
To excel in this role, you'll further enhance Snap’s merchant oversight program to meet and exceed regulatory and bank partner expectations.
This role requires superior compliance knowledge re Third Party Oversight requirements for banks and other financial institutions paired with good business acumen, excellent communication and relationship building skills.
It's a senior-level role on a dynamic and growing Compliance team with numerous career development opportunities. This role reports directly to the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer of the company and is part of the Risk &Compliance Executive Leadership team.
The Job
- Leading the further enhancement of a best-in-class Merchant Oversight program that stands the test of bank partner(s) and relevant regulators.
- Acting as the trusted compliance advisor for all compliance questions related to merchant oversight.
- Acting as Compliance liaison for Snap’s bank partner(s) re all matters pertaining to merchant oversight.
- Supporting the 1st line and the Internal Control team with the further build out of a robust merchant oversight control infrastructure.
- Assistance with the further enhancement of the appropriate risk &compliance culture on all levels of the organization
- Building out a cohesive Merchant Oversight Compliance team
- Have a minimum experience of 7+ years in Third Party Oversight as required for banks and other financial institutions, especially in merchant oversight.
- Very good understanding of US Consumer Financial Protection laws, Third Party Oversight requirements for banks and other related bank partner compliance requirements
- Have excellent communication and relationship skills
- Are a self-starter with a robust vision of how a best-in-class Merchant Oversight Risk& Compliance function and program look like from a 1st and 2nd line of defense perspective
- Love to coach and develop talent.
- Bachelor’s degree required. J.D. preferred.
