This Sr. Electrical Engineer will provide design support for new product development teams creating electromechanical products for the medical device industry. Performs specified electrical engineering support activities such as design and test of electrical circuits, motor control devices, sensors, switches and other electrical equipment components.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop and implement solution strategies to meet customer and design requirements
- Execute new product development projects according to solid project plans and project management principles (scope, timeline, milestones and risk-based decision making)
- Test and verify new designs
- Implement designs into production
- Create specifications and technical documents (assembly procedures, wiring diagrams, installation instructions, operation manuals, user guides, etc.)
- Design, schematic capture, and prototype microcontroller and microprocessor based products incorporating sensors, motor controls and UX elements
- Design to and qualify new designs to applicable regulatory standards such as UL, FCC, and CE
- Design and implement test fixtures to verify the circuit boards and / or systems functionality for production testing
- Understand user experiences to be able to make informed design decisions
- This is an electrical engineer able to design, optimize, evaluate, and finalize circuits to do things like manipulate digital signals, analog signals, desire for FPGA skills. Once those things are done, they do need skills to design circuit boards and work with partners to have them built.
