Accounting Manager, General Ledger

THE POSITION :
At STACK, the Accounting Manager - General Ledger is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, lead and manage the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit requests and be the right-hand to the Accounting Director.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).
Responsibilities include :
- Manage the month-end close process ensuring all tasks are completed by the stated deadlines
- Evaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accurately
- Analyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAP
- Assist in preparation of monthly internal reporting package
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Lead and oversee a team of 3 to 6 individuals
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
- Assist with technical accounting research and implementation support
- Assist with purchase price accounting, acquisition journal entries and the integration of businesses
- Work cross-functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processes
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments, specifically Finance, Treasury and Operations teams
- Provide support and prepare documentation for the external audit
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset accounting
- Identify and implement ideas for process improvement
- Ad-hoc special projects

BS in Accounting required5+ years prior work experience including a minimum of 1 year experience as an accounting managerCPA and public accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of US GAAPMulti-entity and international experience preferredNetSuite experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially ExcelDetail-orientedStrong analytical, problem solving, and communications skillsEnjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teamsAbility to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervisionProven success in creating efficiencies in processes and proceduresTHIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF :
