Senior Engineering Manager

As a Senior Engineering Manager in the Continuous Build & Integration organization within Software & Services Engineering, you will lead teams that develop the platforms and pipelines that power developer productivity and integrate and deliver in-vehicle software (e.g., ECUs, domain controllers, infotainment, ADAS). Our work advances GM's vision of a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion by enabling safer, faster, and more reliable software delivery across the product portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Lead an engineering organization responsible for core developer workflows, CI / CD, and integration of in-vehicle software components, with clear SLOs / SLIs and incident response practices.
• Elevate developer experience by reducing build times, increasing repeatability, improving observability, and streamlining onboarding and tooling ergonomics.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for integrating in-vehicle software, aligning with component owners and partner teams.
• Mentor managers and senior ICs; establish clear goals, measurable outcomes, and growth paths while fostering a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate strategy, investment tradeoffs, and outcomes to technical and executive stakeholders; ensure clarity of vision, measurable results (e.g., lead time, change failure rate, MTTR), and dependable execution.

The salary range for this role is $204,000 to $344,800. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential : An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
