Senior Accountant
The Sr. Accountant at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) plays a vital role in supporting financial reporting and operations by preparing accurate reports to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, and profit and loss. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards while maintaining the integrity of MFA's financial records.

We strongly prefer candidates with experience in larger roles that encompass the full accounting cycle. Ideal candidates will have expertise in :
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Master's in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred but not required.
CPA preferred.
Experience :
3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
Proven ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to frequently walk, bend, twist, and reach above the shoulder in an office setting.
Occasionally lift or carry and frequently push or pull up to 20 lbs.
Regularly work in healthcare environments where personal protective equipment may be required.
Manual dexterity to operate computers, calculators, and office equipment.
