Neonatology Physician Job Details

Job Title : Locum Tenens Neonatology Physician

Location : Grand Junction, Colorado (81501)

Position Type : Locum tenens (Travel / Contract)

Qualifications for Neonatology Physician Jobs

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school

Residency training in Neonatology or related specialty

Active Colorado medical license

Board certification or board eligibility in Neonatology

Valid DEA license

BLS or ACLS certification (required for acute care hospital; within 90 days for ambulatory clinic)

Strong oral and written communication skills

Commitment to patient confidentiality, compassion, and professionalism

Minimum 1 year of experience in Neonatology or a related field

Neonatology Physician Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and conditions in neonates using history, physical exams, and diagnostic tools

Communicate treatment options and care plans to families with a patient-centered approach

Document patient care accurately for compliance, quality, and safety

Provide leadership and feedback to the clinical healthcare team

Consult with colleagues and refer patients as needed

Be available for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for quality, safety, and patient experience

Engage in ongoing learning and professional development

Promote the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization

Perform additional duties as required by the Neonatology specialty and assignment
