Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required.

E / O weekend requirement.

Facility births per month : 100-200.

1st time traveler accepted.

Description :

Labor & Delivery RN for a community hospital.

Assist with sterile speculum exams which include effacement, dilation, station, and presentation.

Conduct Non-Stress Tests (NST).

Perform reflex checks, edema assessments, and clonus evaluations.

Carry out sterile vaginal exams.

Utilize External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) techniques.

Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.

Start and maintain peripheral IVs.

Use of infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring is required.

Administer anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, prostaglandins, and terbutaline.

Perform amnioinfusion and assist with vaginal deliveries.

Circulate for C-sections and recover patients post C-section.

Collect cord samples and ensure ID / security banding.

Support in neonatal resuscitation and infant identification.

Administer epidural and general anesthesia.

Conduct pain assessments and management, including opioid administration.

Provide breastfeeding support and lactation assistance.

Manage episiotomy and incisional care.

Insert Foley catheters, and perform fundus, lochia, and perineum care.

Conduct vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

Handle bladder distension, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage.

Manage pregnancy-induced hypertension, D & C, and tubal ligation procedures.

Follow protocols for high-risk deliveries and antepartum care.

Ensure proper care for patients with conditions such as diabetes and cardiac diseases.

Monitor and support patients with infectious diseases, HELLP syndrome, and pre-eclampsia / eclampsia.

Utilize equipment for thermoregulation and recognize malpresentations.

Handle multiple gestations and provide necessary newborn assessments.

Understand and apply isolation precautions as needed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams as necessary.

Complete all required certifications within the specified timeframe.
