North Dakota licensure requiredExperience with Accuray Precision System with Synchrony (Tomotherapy and Radixact)Clinical experience in medical physicsKey Responsibilities
Perform specification, acceptance testing, and commissioning of new radiation equipmentCalibrate radioactive sources and accelerators, maintaining records for their useEnsure radiation equipment safety for clinical useDevelop and maintain radiation Quality Assurance and radiation safety programsSupervise source preparation and handling during brachytherapy and maintain brachytherapy source inventoryCalculate shielding for treatment rooms and radioactive source storageProvide consultation and support to Radiation Oncologists on physical and radiobiological aspects of treatment plansSupervise dosimetrists and support radiation therapists in treatment deliveryAssure accuracy of treatment unit parameters and settings, including verification of parameter transfer between simulator, treatment plan, and treatment unitDevelop techniques to improve imaging and radiation treatment deliveryOversee and approve equipment maintenance and commissioning by external contractorsComply with North Dakota administrative code (NDAC 33.1)Coverage Details
