Hours : 7am-3 : 30pm OR 7 : 30am - 4pm

Job Description :
- Appeals, Claim Reconsiderations, Identify Trends, Process Improvements
- Working through 40-50 accounts per day
- 6 managed care plans for Medicaid in Louisiana
- Sees a lot of Humana & UHG claims but would like someone who is strong wit Cigna & Aetna
- Contact insurance companies and other responsible parties to collect outstanding balances for medical services rendered.
- Utilize various communication methods such as phone calls, emails, and letters to follow up on overdue accounts.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and identify delinquent accounts.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payments.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with patients, insurance representatives, and other responsible parties.
- Document all communication and payment arrangements in the system accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with other departments such as billing, coding, and insurance verification to resolve complex billing issues.
- Meet collection targets and goals set by management, while maintaining a high level of quality and compliance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to medical billing and collections.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in medical billing preferred.
- Proficiency in billing and accounting software.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing practices.
