Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues. Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site requirements. Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by answering questions and providing directions or information as needed. Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required by site protocols. Complete detailed written reports and documentation of incidents, daily activities, and observations as required by the location. Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as dictated by the site. At least 2 years of security-related experience is required. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
