Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Teach 3 or more credit hours in Public Health. Areas may include : Principles of Public Health; Global Health Systems; Health Behavior Theory; Introduction to Epidemiology; Community Health Assessment; Environmental Issues in Public Health; Health Policy; Health Program Planning, Implementing, and Evaluation; Fundamentals of Community Health Worker; Advanced Community Health Worker. Other course content areas may be developed and available for instruction.
• Available for consultation with students.
• Deliver course content in person or online, prepare course materials and lesson plans, grade student work, provide timely, robust feedback, address student questions in line with university, college / school, and department policies, and provide appropriate academic support as needed for the teaching assignment.
• Ensure instruction aligns with the course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies; comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
• Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn new modes of instruction; be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.

Salary for Announcement

The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy. For more information, please view the pay rates under the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) : Affiliate-Rates-AY-25-26.
