Global Director Environment, Health, Safety and Security

Position Overview

Global Director of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) for Nelson Laboratories, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sotera Health. The Global Director EHSS is responsible for leading, executing, and managing Nelson Labs comprehensive environmental, health, safety and security programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and consensus standards, developing and optimizing safety programs, and building and promoting a culture of safety across all geographies.

This position reports directly to the Sr. VP Environment, Health, Safety, and Security and has a dotted line to the President of Nelson Laboratories. This role has broad accountability and is highly visible. It is anticipated that this leader will serve on Sotera Health's senior-most EHSS leadership team and the Nelson Labs senior leadership team.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 12 years EHS experience required. Preference to those with CSP, CHMM, CIH, CEA, CPEA, or RBP certifications.
• A minimum of 5 years managing people and building EHS programs. Leading global, matrixed teams in regulated laboratory setting (., GLP / GMP) is preferred.
• Direct experience working with and influencing senior leaders and building productive and trusting relationships with regulatory agencies.
