Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel RN Position Job Notes : Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work on D2 inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
• Patient ratios of 1 : 5 / 1 : 6 stretch depending on level of care
• Handle short stay patients with less than 24-hour length of stay and quick turnover
• Work with telemetry equipment - all patients hardwired to bedside monitor when telemetry monitoring is indicated
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Work every other weekend, no on-call requirements
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Must have telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• Required certifications : BLS and ACLS
• Dress code : Navy and / or white top, navy bottom, all white
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
