Description :

This position requires a Registered Nurse for a medical-surgical / telemetry unit.

Oncology experience is preferred but not required.

The staffing ratio goal is 1 : 4, but can be 1 : 5.

Weekend shifts are variable based on unit needs.

There is no set or blocked scheduling.

Self-scheduling requests will be accepted to accommodate preferred schedules.

The first week of orientation will be Monday through Friday on day shift.

The second week includes 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.

The most common patient diagnoses include various solid tumor cancers.

Additional responsibilities include following infection prevention protocols and managing patient falls.

The unit focuses on delivering care throughout the cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care.

Candidates must have experience with computerized charting, specifically with Epic.

Floating to other units may be required as needed.

Candidates should be proficient in managing telemetry and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Candidates must comply with all credentialing requirements promptly.

Two professional references are needed, including one from a manager or supervisor.

No coworker references are accepted.

Education must be from an accredited program.
