About The Position

License : Active Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS certification required.

Must-Have :

Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently.

Experience in a large hospital setting preferred.

Previous charge experience preferred.

Description :

Travelers' permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the most central facility to be eligible to apply.

Seeking an RN for a medical-surgical telemetry unit.

Night Shift schedule : 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, and holidays as needed.

The unit is a 1,059 bed healthcare facility and a Level II trauma center.

Responsibilities include managing 5-6 patients with moderate to high acuity.

No ventilated patients will be assigned.

Expect to float to other units as needed.

Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.

Navy scrubs will be provided.

The unit has a variety of interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Essential skills include cardiac telemetry, managing ports, and interpreting dysrhythmias.

Familiarity with using rapid response / code teams is required.

Strong wound care skills are necessary.

Must demonstrate proficiency with IV administration and peripheral line care.

Telemetric monitoring skills are essential.

Collaboration with healthcare teams is necessary for optimal patient care.

Candidates must comply with all facility policies and procedures.
