About the Job

Databook is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, business, and customer success. In this role, you'll be the ultimate product and technical advisor, guiding our enterprise customers through complex solution design and helping them unlock the full power of the Databook Revenue AI platform. You'll lead technical engagements, shape customer discovery, and translate business challenges into outcome-driven solutions that accelerate revenue impact. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to deliver value at every stage of the customer journey-while influencing how the world's leading enterprises leverage Databook to transform their go-to-market strategy.

On a day-to-day basis, you will :

  • Serve as the ultimate product and technical advisor : Partner with Sales and Customer Success as the go-to expert on Databook and the broader Revenue AI platform.
  • Lead complex technical engagements : Translate customer requirements into tailored solution architectures, outcome-based demos, and compelling proofs of concept (POCs / Pilots).
  • Act as a trusted advisor : Guide prospects and customers in achieving measurable business outcomes, ensuring Databook delivers lasting value.
  • Shape customer discovery : Drive in-depth discovery sessions across sales, marketing, and customer engagement workflows.
  • Bridge business and technology : Simplify complex technical concepts and map them to customer value.
  • Champion collaboration : Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to accelerate deal cycles and remove friction.
  • Drive thought leadership : Represent Databook at industry events, webinars, and conferences, influencing market perception and customer trust.
  • Build scalable assets : Contribute reusable playbooks, demo environments, and technical content to improve efficiency across the go-to-market organization.
  • Provide customer insights : Channel customer feedback into Product and GTM teams, helping shape roadmap priorities and positioning.
  • Mentor and lead : Develop and inspire a high-performing team, setting the standard for technical excellence and customer-centricity.

About You

  • Experience : 10+ years in customer-facing pre-sales or sales engineering roles, with at least 3+ years leading high-performing teams.
  • Domain expertise : Deep understanding of marketing, sales development, or top-of-funnel revenue operations, including workflows such as forecasting and prospecting.
  • Customer focus : Proven track record of serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives and driving adoption of enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Technical depth : Familiarity with data flows, APIs / webhooks, JSON, analytics, AI / ML concepts, and SaaS security / privacy best practices.
  • Industry fluency : Knowledge of GTM team personas, buying cycles, and competitor landscape.
  • Communication : Exceptional ability to translate complex technology into business value, both in writing and presentations.
  • Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills and experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
  • Mindset : Passion for technology, problem-solving, and building scalable solutions that deliver customer outcomes.
