About the role and opportunity

We’re seeking a talented, innovative, AI-native Staff Product Designer to lead strategic design efforts across our portfolio.

In this demanding, multi-faceted role, you’ll lead projects ranging from 0-1 innovation projects where you’ll design completely novel AI experiences to data-driven growth projects driven by experimentation and machine learning to optimize products running at scale.

At Demand.io, Product Design plays a strong role. You will lead product vision and strategy. To succeed here you should be comfortable working autonomously absent close supervision or direction from Product Management, creating your own end-to-end product vision incorporating user research, technology strategy, go-to-market, and growth strategy.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the CEO (who acts as Chief Product Officer), playing point on a range of strategic design initiatives spanning our product portfolio.

You’ll be challenged to create completely novel solutions to emerging problems, continuously finding new ways to infuse AI into our design thinking and product experiences.

You’ll work closely with our data science and machine learning teams to develop insights into user behavior, continuously increasing the performance and user satisfaction generated by our products.

What you’ll do

• Lead 0-1 product innovation projects. Design novel, AI-driven, conversational human-computer paradigms to solve everyday problems in e-commerce.
• Lead data-driven design and growth projects. Collaborate with data science and machine learning teams to run experiments and iterate to improve product experience and achieve business objectives.
• Reimagine existing legacy products running at scale with millions of users. Incorporate AI to redefine existing user experiences and e-commerce paradigms.
• Operate as a deep generalist with a bias towards action in a flat, non-hierarchical team to get things done fast. Do guerrilla user research, be hands on with data, utilize AI in creative ways, forgo process, break down barriers and get to the goal, as quickly as possible.

About you

• You’re a visionary, end-to-end Product Designer capable of 0-1 innovation and product strategy formulation, comfortable leading design projects without close supervision from Product Management.
• 7+ years in an IC design role.
• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Information Science, or Design Engineering.
• Demonstrated track record of 0-1 product design, solving complex user problems.
• Strong ability to use data to make decisions and inform design strategy.

About the job

• Starting base salary range : $180,000 - $250,000 DOE.
• Stock options : 0.30% to 0.70% initial grant.
