CT Technologist
Full-Time | Hospital-Based | Level 1 Trauma Center
Duties & Responsibilities
Verify patient identity and exam orders prior to scanning, following all departmental safety policies and procedures.Coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging and optimal patient care.Prepare patients for CT exams, clearly explain procedures, and maintain patient comfort throughout.Start IVs when required for contrast-enhanced studies.Position patients safely and accurately , including assisting or lifting patients with limited mobility using proper safe-patient-handling techniques.Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC, including labeling images correctly and ensuring all studies transfer properly to PACS upon completion.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning environment , ensuring equipment readiness and adherence to infection-control standards.Requirements
Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program accredited by an approved School of Radiologic Technology.Active ARRT certification (Radiography and CT, if required by facility) .New York State Radiologic Technologist License (must be obtained prior to start date).Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience .Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center .BLS (American Heart Association) certification.Preferred Qualifications
IV / Injection certification preferred; must be willing to obtain during orientation if not currently certified.Experience with Philips and Siemens CT systems preferred.Soft Skills
