  • Set up, adjust and operate a variety of NC / CNC controlled lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements.

  • Work from routings, process sheets and blueprints. Use a variety of precision instruments to set-up and inspect work.

    • \n

  • Assist in establishing program requirements. Make machine adjustments to correct deviations from program specifications. Note and report program problems. Make adjustments to program where applicable.

    • \n

  • May recommend tooling arrangement, fixtures, operational sequences. Mount and secure tooling, align and secure fixtures, platens and work pieces. Help make set-up & instruct new or less qualified operators. Run secondary machine or auxiliary operations when applicable.
