JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Training and Development to create and lead Synagro’s training program for employees working in both plant and services / agricultural atmospheres.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training initiatives that enhance employee skills, performance, and productivity, while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Through collaboration with business unit leaders such as area directors and plant leadership, the manager will assess ongoing and future training needs and develop programs that enhance skill and performance while aligning with company’s overall strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies that address the needs of plant and operational employees.
  • Collaborate with business unit and department leaders to assess ongoing and future training needs and develop programs that enhance employee skills and drive performance.
  • Design and deliver training programs that cover technical skills, safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices in plant and agriculture work.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of innovative training modules and educational programs.
  • Identify internal and external resources to execute on and off-site training.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness, success, and ROI of training programs and make changes / updates as necessary.
  • Ensure that training strategies and programs align with the company’s business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in training and development to incorporate them into strategy and practices.
  • Oversee the training budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably within a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to various training sites as needed.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
