Responsibilities Include :

The University of Iowa Department of Anesthesia is seeking a qualified obstetric anesthesiologist to join our team. The Department of Anesthesia is seeking faculty members for appointment on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank.

• Participating in team-based anesthesia care and personally providing anesthesia care.
• Serving as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating for effective patient outcomes.
• Active participation in the academic activities of the department and The Carver College of Medicine.
• Supervising students, residents, fellows, SRNAs and non-anesthesia rotators.
• Providing developmental feedback to those under supervision, verbally and in writing.
• Preparing educational materials, leading and / or attending academic lectures and professional development events.
• Demonstrated experience in promoting an inclusive team-based work environment.
• Research activities are encouraged, though participation is not required for continued employment or promotion.
