Job descriptionSupport a technical writer / editor in preparing official U.S. Navy correspondence in accordance with SECNAV M-5216.5 and the Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual. Develop, write, and edit reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications. Ensure technical documents meet program requirements and communicate effectively. At least 3 years of experience in engineering / science management, operations research, or financial / cost analysis. 3 years supporting a technical writer / editor with strong communication skills at all levels. Ability to edit technical documents to meet specific program needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and automated database systems. Secret clearance (Interim acceptable); ability to pass a background investigation for access to classified information. Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.
