Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary : The Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of city facilities. This position requires a proactive individual with basic skills in building maintenance, mechanical systems, and custodial tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and lighting.
• Conduct minor repairs, such as painting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Perform custodial duties, including cleaning common areas, emptying trash, and maintaining restrooms as needed.
• Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for events and meetings.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing tasks.
• Identifying and reporting larger repair needs or safety concerns to the City Manager.
• Perform seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal.
